Global Shapers Passport
Global Shapers Passport is an interactive virtual
retreat platform that connects Global Shapers from 150+ countries.
With the Global Shapers Passport app, you can:
- Create your personal digital passport by signing in with Google.
- Scan QR codes to connect with fellow Shapers from 30+ global hubs and collect digital visa stamps.
- Join topic-based Google Meet breakout rooms organized by impact area — climate, education, health, and more.
- Test your knowledge of global cultures, landmarks, cuisines, and flags with the cultural quiz.
- Compete on a real-time retreat leaderboard and unlock the Global Citizen badge by connecting across world regions.
- Share photo stories from your hub and vote on fellow Shapers' submissions in the community gallery.
The app is built for members of the Global Shapers Community, an
initiative of the World Economic Forum, to use during the Virtual
International Retreat. Your data is securely stored in Firebase and
never sold or shared with third parties. Please enable JavaScript to
sign in and create your passport.
Data Access & Permissions
Global Shapers Passport uses Google Sign-In so you don't need a new
password. We follow the principle of least privilege — we only
request access that is necessary for a specific feature:
-
Google Account Profile (openid, email, profile):
We read your name, email address, and profile picture to create
your unique virtual passport and identify you across devices. Your
Google user ID serves as your passport identifier.
-
Google Meet Space Creation (meetings.space.created):
Used only when you choose to host a breakout room. We create a
Google Meet meeting space on your behalf so fellow Shapers can join
topic-based discussions by impact area. We do not read or store
your past meetings.
-
Drive File Access, per-file (drive.file):
When you submit a photo story, we save that single image to your
Google Drive so you retain ownership. We never access, view, or
modify any other files in your Drive.
We never sell your data, share it with third parties, or post on your
behalf. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account
settings.
